WHAT IS THE PHOTOGRAPHY SCAVENGER HUNT?
The Photography Scavenger Hunt is a fun way to stretch your photography and creative skills alongside hundreds of other Scavengers from around the globe. But it is so much more than that. We are a tribe of supportive, inspirational, and amazing people that are always looking for more amazing people to add to the fold.
All skill levels are welcome, all cameras are welcome. Film, digital, mobile, point & shoot, on up to large format photography. There are no limits.
Round 29 is in the books!
Well done everyone! This was one of the more challenging rounds as every photo needed to be SOOC. But you all rose to the challenge, slowed down and really thought about how to craft the scene and get it right in camera instead of relying on post processing.
The overall winner is Sam Breach! Sam took the challenge to heart and strove to create images that looked like they needed Photoshop, but didn’t. She used techniques such as forced perspective, multiple exposures, custom white balance, and more. Congratulations Sam.
Why is the Photography Scavenger Hunt so special?
It’s the feeling of US. We support each other’s journey in becoming better photographers, better artists.
We met online, but we are so much more than that.
We are a tribe, a family.
If a picture is worth 1000 words, then this video is a book on why so many love the Hunt, and keep coming back each round.
We have a private Scavenger Community for past and present Hunters.
Number of Photos (approximately)
We aren’t just virtual friends, we are flesh and blood friends as well. We’ve had two Meetups in Las Vegas, one in Orlando and another large one is being tentatively planned for 2021.
In addition to the official large ones, many of us have hosted mini and regional meetups as well.
We also have online meetups via Zoom in the Community. It’s a way to get to know each other while travel is limited, as well as ask questions, seek inspiration and more.
