THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE IT ALL HAPPEN
The Photography Scavenger Hunt is run by a team of volunteers. We only charge to cover the expenses of the website, community and related tools. We’re so appreciative of all the Scavengers, past, present, and future who make it an honor to keep this place running. For past Hunt hosts, see our History Page.
I’m Debbie DeBaeremaeker, one of your Hunt Hosts. I have been part of this Photography Scavenger Hunt since round 2! (and have gotten a photo in every category!) The one hunt I was going to bow out of was when my daughter was born 8 years ago and I was hunted down to ask why I hadn’t signed up! Turns out that having a c-section wasn’t an excuse for me! Lol.
I have been playing with photography since my first hunt but it’s not my “first hobby.” I’m a quilter at heart. You will find me most days in my sewing room sewing.
Lately I have taken on some paid photo shoots which feels pretty good!
I am a stay at home mom of 2 pretty great kids. You may know my husband, Dave DeBaeremaeker, as he is also in the Hunt. We are Canadians living in North Carolina and love meeting up with scavengers though travel.
I’m a fairly not weird person living in north Alabama, USA!
I am fabulously southern.
I am married to an Army Man and we have 3 offspring, 3 cats (Skittles, Mr. Bean, Snickerdoodles) and 2 German Shepherds (Laeta and Aries)
I love being a stay-at-home-mom!
We live in a very small home that we helped build and raise longhorns as a hobby and a source of clean beef for our family. I LOVE goats, but currently do not have any. (the sadness)
The Hunt has been a place of finding myself, my tribe, my groove, my growth, and a sense of belonging like no other place!! It is an entity all to itself and I am thrilled to help out in any way I can!!
I take photos of people, pets and things and am up for traveling at the drop of a hat, or a Lego, or a piece of cheese.
So, let’s GO!!!!
I run the behind the scenes things – website, photo uploads and signups. I’ve been blessed to be a part of the Hunt since Round 2. I’ve missed a few rounds then came back when Lauri asked for help transitioning away from G+ and social media. I am happy to be here, happy to help out.
The Hunt has taught me so much about Photography, Art, and People too.
