Scott Wyden Kivowitz – A Storyteller with a Camera

Scott Wyden Kivowitz  is a father, photographer, blogger, and educator in New Jersey, who considers himself a storyteller with a camera. Growing up he was always photographed by his parents and his grandparents. While playing in bands and touring, he started photographing the other bands that played at the same events. So that paved way for him to always have a camera with him.

Scott decided years ago to document the lives of others, so they can be enjoyed and cherished forever. The inspiration behind that was because of his biological father’s passing before his second birthday. The only ways he can get to know his father is by photographs and the stories told from family.  Scott offers family portraits, cake smash sessions, headshots, and brand photography to his clients.

Scott is also the Chief Community Officer at Imagely, a WordPress development company that makes incredible tools for photography websites.  He is a podcast host as well, the author of numerous books, and a regular YouTuber.  He can be found teaching photographers about photography, WordPress, and online marketing on his website, the Imagely website, and other venues like Photofocus. Scott believes in sharing his knowledge in any way possible and educating without fluff, in a straight to the point easy to understand style.

Robert Birnbach

Robert Birnbach

Robert Birnbach is a California based commercial photographer, creative strategist, cyclist and jazz lover who is passionate about food. He recently helped found a Creative Brand Agency, Curious Ant.

After running his own Photography Studio for more than 2 decades, Robert became Photography Director of Oracle where  for more than 5 years he managed the large, in-house photography desk and worked closely in collaboration with Oracle’s world-class creative teams to communicate complex ideas using photography and video.

In his personal work, Robert loves to photograph both nature and jazz music. When there isn’t a pandemic going on, he photographs the San Jose Jazz Festival on a regular basis. You can see some of his Jazz photograph collection here:

Eric Raeber

Originally from Switzerland, Eric now lives in the California Bay Area. He is a photographer and an engineer, and his process for writing code and creating images is similar: he usually starts from a blank canvas and always pursues beauty. As subjective as beauty is, it remains more apparent in photography than in software. The former can be appreciated (and judged) by everyone, but the latter is often reserved to a select few.

It is this drive to build something from scratch, bringing coherence to a world of ambiguity, while being accountable for every aspect along the way, that pushed him to master lighting and work with dancers and other artists who can tell a story with their bodies. The human presence has always been a key ingredient in his images.

In order to develop his skills, he often creates long-running series which can span from a few months to over a year.
