Round 35

The Rainbow Round

We threw a colorful twist to the Scavengers this round. We typically have one color each round, but felt an even bigger pop of color would be refreshing and energizing. June is also Pride month, and we celebrate and welcome the diversity of all participants of the Photography Scavenger Hunt.

Please enjoy the joy and creativity of this round.

Matt Payne

Hey there! I’m Matt Payne and I am a mountain climber, adventurer, and fine art nature and landscape photographer living in Durango, Colorado with my wife of nearly twenty years and my teenage son. In 2018, I completed my life-long goal of climbing the highest 100 mountains in Colorado, where my love of photography was kindled. Since 2017, I have hosted a weekly podcast dedicated to nature photography called “F-Stop Collaborate and Listen.” I am also the co-founder of Nature First Photography, an organization that was created in 2018 to help increase ethical awareness in nature photography. Lastly, I am the co-creator of the Natural Landscape Photography Awards, an international photography competition which rewards and celebrates nature photographers who dedicate themselves to photographing and editing their work in a realistic fashion.

Dave DeBaeremaeker

I started on Google Plus where I studied the art of photography with this crazy group known as Scavengers.  I went on to train under the mentorship of Canadian master photographer Ron Clifford in The Arcanum Academy Of Artistic Mastery, a digital art school created by Trey Ratcliff.

My muse is creating new worlds with toys, just to see what life is like at the edges of my imagination. I really enjoy the challenge and freedom of bringing action figures to life inside my camera.

I am a recipient of the Photoshopworld Guru Award for compositing in 2019. I am currently an instructor for KelbyOne Media, and a contributor to toyphotographers.com

Chris Goldthorpe has been a participant in the Scavenger Hunt since round 10 and was the winner of Round 34. He has been interested in photography from an early age but it was not until the advent of digital cameras and photo processing software that he felt that he was able to fully express his creative side.
