Peter

Peter Nguyn

Peter Nguyen (pronounced Wynn win or nuh-win) is a birder/bird photographer and physical therapist. Peter has lived in Orange County all his life, having immigrated here as a refugee of the Vietnam War. Living in the suburbs of Orange County, California, Peter took up birding to bring more nature into his life. Peter is a self taught photographer. First taking photos for his family, then portraits, and weddings before giving up photographing humans completely.

He renewed his love for photography after phonescoping his spark bird, a Rufous Motmot, during a trip to Costa Rica. Now he is an avid birder and photographer in his home county.

Nat Weaver

Nat Weaver is a native Missourian living just outside St. Louis. He started writing at a very early age but took years to get good at it. After writing short stories for years, and thinking he’d never have what it took to write novels due to undiagnosed bipolar, he committed himself to starting the Mercedes Masterson Detective Stories series and wrote Sweet Sixteen Killer. Something he never would have been able to achieve without treatment of his mental health: a combination of medication, therapy, and more.

In addition to writing books, Nat has also put his experience and skill in cinematography to good use by directing indie films and tv shows.

He is currently a stay-at-home dad to a teenager and full-time student at Southern New Hampshire University where he is majoring in English Language and Literature.

Alan Bland

Alan Bland

Alan’s foray into photography began at around age 12 when he was gifted a Kodak Instamatic to take photos of his then-favorite hobby, model rockets. Later as an adult he explored film-based astrophotography, and enjoyed taking photos of nature and wildlife. Eventually he discovered the Scavenger Hunt on Google+, which led him to learn how to use and abuse Photoshop to create silly images inspired by the hunt words. He credits the Scavenger Hunt for helping him form lifelong friendships with other photographers in Colorado and elsewhere. More recently he has directed his creative energies toward making electronic music, where he uses his elite photography and photo art skillz to make mediocre cover images and videos to accompany his music.
